Finotex offers the ability to deliver your labels cut with hot or cold knife, ultrasonic or laser cut, to fulfill your brand identification needs. Likewise, if your label design has a special cut style, send us your artwork to adjust to your requirement.
CENTER FOLD STYLE
Center Fold
Folded in the middle and sewn into a seam. The label lie flat.
Loop Label
Looks same as center fold with the exception that it’s not creased. It’s commonly looped around the edge of a garment. Known as a "hem tag”.
Book Fold
The top part is shorter than the under part, commonly to show the size or the country of origin.
Longitudinal Center Fold
Same as center fold but the folding is made along the tape and the edges of the label are on top.
END FOLD STYLE
End Fold
Folded at both ends to create a neat finish. Does not need to be sewn into a seam.
Asymmetrical End Fold
Looks same as end fold with an extended end. This “extra” space is commonly used to place a size or a small logo.
One Side End Fold
The top part is shorter than the under part. It’s commonly sewn on the edge of a garment.
Longitudinal End Fold
Same as end fold but the folding of the ends is made along the edges of the label.
STRAIGHT CUT STYLE
Straight Cut
Not folded, also known as “hot cut”. Can be sewed from any side or applied with a heat seal or peel-and-stick backing.
Off-Center Straight Cut
Same as straight cut but the design is off-center on the label. Should sew by the "longest" side. For softer edges, it is recommended to cut with ultrasound cutting.
Diagonal Straight Cut
This straight cut is inclined diagonal. Can be sewn on either side.
SPECIAL CUT & FOLDS
Manhattan
Similar to center fold. The front side is folded down on top to cover the back side into. The top flap cover has exposed corners, for a soft feel.
Book Cover Fold
As the center fold label with additional end folds. This style of label tends to be used on the hem, cuffs, and pockets.
Mitre Fold
This label has ends folded on a 45˚ angle to create tabs which are sewn into a neck seam, allowing the garment to be hung.
Laser die cut
Laser cut is commonly used for badges and patches. Can be backed with a heat seal to be applied with iron onto the garment.
ROLL-2-ROLL
This is not a cut style per se. This presentation is normally used for tapes, ribbons, and roll to roll heat transfers.
